These FAQ's are current to explain our new policies and procedures for treatment during Covid-19. Please read carefully.
As of March 21, 2022 your therapist will greet you for your appointment where they will screen you in person for any Covid symptoms. Please wear a mask to your appointment as outline by our College.
Your first visit back or first time clients will include the completion of a signed on-line comprehensive health history form.
Upon arrival, an intake interview with your therapist will assess a mandatory verbal self-assessment protocol for COVID-19, a review of your health history, your goals for treatment, and possible outcomes for massage treatment. The only signature needed would be if consent for sensitive areas has to be signed. It will be a laminate form that your therapist can upload on your online files. They will discuss your goals for massage, develop a treatment plan, and discuss possible outcomes. They may require you to sign a sensitive area form if these areas are indicated for massage.
IMPORTANT: At any time the therapist deems the possible treatment as unsafe through their screening then they will ask the clients to leave.
All therapists will check online the day before to make sure all your forms are complete.
All interviews, assessment, home care, and treatment plan, plus treatment, are all included within your allotted treatment time.
You will be fully informed about all aspects of your treatment. . During the massage your therapist will check in periodically on how you’re feeling. It is also helpful if you tell us immediately if there’s anything we can do to make your experience more comfortable, ie: pressure change, temperature change, draping change, etc. It helps us make your treatment the best experience possible.
Once your treatment has come to an end, you will have prior knowledge of how to proceed after your massage , speak about a treatment plan and home are between appointments.
At MarchDale Massage Therapy Ltd. we are following all guidance given by our governing bodies, College Registered Massage Therapists of Ontario, and The Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario.
Please arrive 5 minutes before your appointment with a mask. Masks must be worn at all times. Policies may change April 27,2022. Your therapist will greet you outside or in our waiting area.
When you enter please use the hand sanitizer inside the entrance. Remove out door shoes especially during the winter months. Your therapist will greet you shortly. Covid symptom checks will be asked prior to you massage.
If you’re running late please take the time to let us know by calling our clinic (613-663-1854). You therapist may choose to contact you after 10 mins after your appointment time.Your treatment time is reserved just for you; should you be late we regrettably will choose to charge you for the full duration time.
During most massages you will be fully covered by a sheet so what you wear is whatever you are comfortable with; ideally, it is easiest for your therapist to work directly on your skin, however, we are happy to accommodate your comfort should you prefer we work through your clothes or the sheet. Your therapist will confirm your needs prior to treatment.
If you are coming for sports treatment, hip, groin, pelvis, or abdominal treatment it is helpful to bring shorts and a tank top/t-shirt, although it is not necessary. We will make sure you are covered except for the areas we will need to work on.
RMTs are required by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario to have patients discuss and sign a sensitive areas treatment form at the onset of each new treatment plan (should treatment be indicated within the sensitive areas). It is a requirement so you know exactly what to expect with the treatment of these potentially sensitive areas.
At your appointment your Therspust will also indicate when your health history form needs to be up dated they can email then form and indicate during your session that you can update your forms

We are also compassionate to our client’s needs; If you have a special requirement please contact our team directly for rescheduling options.
If you are sick, please call our team asap to reschedule (613-663-1854) within the 24-hour cancellation policy. Any physical or possible symptom of any kind and connection to others with infection, flu-like symptoms, etc within the 24 hour cancellation time will be charged in full. We work with many patients (including immunocompromised patients) and we want to keep our environment as safe and as healthy as possible for all especially, during COVID-19.
We do not currently direct bill, however, we will give you a comprehensive receipt so you can be reimbursed by your insurance company. We can also email you your receipt to save paper!
Yes, we have free ground-level parking, including one handicapped parking space, and a ramp in front of the clinic for ease of entry.
Our clinic is mobility assist accessible (walker, cane, etc) at this time. We are upgrading our space soon so as possible to offer treatments to all our clients. Please contact our team to find out how we can assist you.
